Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline and work motivation on employee performance at PT Pj-Tek Mandiri South Tangerang. The phenomenon of declining employee performance during the COVID-19 pandemic era has become a major problem that needs to be studied in depth, especially in the oil and gas industry which faces significant economic challenges. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach to 79 employees as population and saturated sample. Data collection techniques were carried out through the distribution of questionnaires with a 5-point Likert scale. Data analysis used validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test (normality, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity), simple and multiple linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient and determination test, and hypothesis test (T test and F test). The results showed that partially, work discipline has a significant effect on employee performance with t_count > t_table (2.195 > 1.991) and significance value 0.000 < 0.05. Work motivation also has a significant effect on employee performance with t_count > t_table (3.475 > 1.991) and significance value 0.000 < 0.05. Simultaneously, work discipline and work motivation have a significant effect on employee performance with F_count > F_table (6.136 > 3.12) and significance value 0.000 < 0.05. This research provides theoretical contributions to the development of human resource management theory, particularly in the context of the energy industry in Indonesia, and provides practical recommendations for company management in improving employee performance through strengthening work discipline and motivation.
